- 750 g apples
- 250 g sugar
- 250 g raisins
- 1 tbsp. schnapps or rum
- 125 g whole almonds or hazelnuts
- Pinch of ground cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 packs baking powder
- 500 g Küchenmeister Wheat Flour T405
Wash the apples, remove the seeds before grating them into a bowl. Mix the grated apple with the raisins, sugar and schnapps/rum and leave overnight.
Combine the baking powder and the sieved flour. Add the dry ingredients, as well as the nuts and spices, to the rum mixture and mix until well combined.
Pour the dough into a greased loaf pan (ca. 25cm) and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven (175° convection) on the lowest shelf for 75-85 minutes.
