- 500 g Küchenmeister Instant Flour
- 300 ml milk
- 100 g butter
- 1 cube of yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- Egg yolk for brushing
Melt the butter and warm the milk. In a bowl, combine together the baking flour and salt. Crumble the yeast on top of the flour, sprinkle with sugar. Pour the lukewarm milk and butter on top, however do not mix yet. Leave for 10-15 minutes until it is foamy. Once foamy, work the ingredients together and knead vigourously. Leave the dough to rise for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into 8 equally sized portions. Roll each portion into a rope and form a knot. Place the knots onto a greased baking sheet, or one that is lined with parchment paper, and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes. Brush each knots with the whisked egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
