- 400 g Küchenmeister Instant Flour
- 200 g sugar
- 175 ml milk
- 175 g melted butter
- 6 (ca 750g) peeled, grated apples
- 2 eggs
- 30 g cinnamon/sugar
- 3/4 pck. baking powder
- 1/2 lemon (juice)
Combine the flour, sugar and butter and work into a streusel. Mix 375g of the streusel with the baking powder, eggs and milk. Line the bottom and grease the sides of a springform pan (26cm Ø). Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly. If desired sprinkle some raisins onto the batter.
Distribute the grated apples onto the batter, sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar and drizzle with the lemon juice. Evenly distribute the remaining streusel and press it gently into the cake batter.
Preheat the oven to 275°C (electric), put the cake in the oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 210°C. After 15 minutes rotate the cake and bake for a further 7 minutes.
Turn off the oven and leave the cake in the oven for 2 hours.
