- 180 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. grated orange zest
- 6 eggs
- 200 g Küchenmeister Wheat Flour T405
- 125 g Küchenmeister Corn Flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 jar sour cherries
Cream together the butter. sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest and eggs.
Mix together the wheat flour, corn flour and baking powder. Sieve the dry ingredients into the batter and mix until well incorporated. Fold in the well drained cherries.
Pour of the batter into a greased or lined springform pan (26cm diameter).
Bake for 60 minutes at 160°C (convection).
Allow to cool in the pan. If desired sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar.
