- 1 jar sour cherries(drained 350 g)
- 2 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- pinch of salt
- 4 drops lemon aroma
- 300 g yoghurt
- 80 g melted butter
- 200 g Küchenmeister durum wheat semolina
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 100 g ground almonds
- 75 g chocolate sprinkles
- Chopped almonds to decorate
Cream together the eggs, sugar and lemon aroma. Mix in the yoghurt and butter. Combine together the semolina, baking powder, almonds and chocolate sprinkles. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Fold in the well drained cherries.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 50 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C (over/under heat)
