- 300 ml water
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 500 g Küchenmeister Ciabatta Mix
- Tomato paste
- Dried oregano
- 6 slices of serano ham
- Olives (optional)
Knead together the baking mix, water, and olive oil for ca. 10 minutes, or until an elastic dough forms. Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 10 minutes.
After the first rise divide the dough into 6 pieces. On a floured work surface, roll each of these pieces out, spread with tomato paste and sprinkle with oregano. Place a piece of serano ham onto each portion. Divide the olives on top if desired. Roll up each portion. Place the rolls onto a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper, and leave to rise in a warm place for ca. 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven (conventional 230°C / fan 210°C). Bake the serano rolls for 5 minutes, before reducing the temperature by 30°C and baking for another 25 minutes.
