500 g Küchenmeister wheat flour type 405
300 ml almond milk
50 g sugar
1 pck. vanilla sugar
2 pck. dry yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp salt
1/4 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp. oil (e.g. sunflower oil, rapeseed oil)
Ingredients for the apple filling and further preparation:
200 g Frießinger brown cane sugar
30 g + 4 tbsp soft margarine
3 apples
2 tbsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preheat the oven to 170° C top/bottom heat.

Preparation: Grease the cake pan and dust with a little flour. Peel two large apples, remove the core and grate. Separate 5 eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream 200 g soft butter, 250 g powdered sugar and half a packet of vanilla sugar. Gradually add the egg yolks and continue to beat. Add the beaten egg whites and gently fold in.

Mix the half packet of baking powder with the flour. Stir the 100 g grated chocolate, 20 g hazelnuts and the grated apples into the mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the packet of chocolate coating according to the instructions. After baking, turn the cake out of the pan while it is still warm, glaze with the chocolate coating, decorate with nuts or sprinkles as desired and then allow to cool.
