Veggie Burger Patties

Ingredients and preparation

Ingredients (for 2 servings):
200 g Küchenmeister green spelt meal
1 onion
200 ml vegetable broth
1 bun (alternatively: 3 slices of toast or bread)
2 eggs (alternatively vegan binder)
2 tbsp. parsley
to taste salt, pepper, nutmeg, marjoram
Vegetable oil for frying

Preparation: Finely chop the onion and fry in a little vegetable oil. Add the 200 g of green spelt meal and fry briefly. Pour over 200 ml of hot vegetable broth. Then cover the mixture and let it swell for about 2 hours. Soak a roll or 3 slices of (toast) bread, squeeze it and mix it with all the remaining ingredients. Knead the dough well and season to taste with salt, pepper, nutmeg and marjoram.

Form thin burger patties and fry in a pan with hot oil until crispy.

Place the fried patties in burger buns and top as desired.
