Vanilla crescent cookies

With these vanilla crescents you bring delicious smelling Christmas into the kitchen.

Ingredients and preparation

Ingredients for the dough (for about 30 pieces):
250 g Mühlen König wheat flour type 405
70 g powdered sugar
200 g cold butter / margarine (vegan variant)
160 g grated almonds
Vanilla powdered sugar for sprinkling

Preheat the oven to 160° C using the convection setting.

Preparation: Put the ingredients of the dough in the mixing bowl of the food processor and knead until smooth. Remove the dough and knead again briefly with your hands.

Divide the dough into quarters. Form the first piece into a roll, then cut into slices. Form the slices into a roll again and shape them into croissants.

Place the croissants next to each other on a baking tray covered with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes.

Sprinkle with vanilla powdered sugar while still hot.

Tip: If cold butter is used directly, the dough can also be processed immediately (so the cooling time can be saved).

And: Making vanilla sugar yourself is very easy! Simply fill sugar into a canning jar and add 1-2 vanilla beans. This also works with scraped vanilla bean and powdered sugar.
